Imagine...you're all dressed up to enjoy an evening of fun with your partner. You walk into the dance club and immediately, your ears are flooded with the preserved sounds of big bands and swing troupes from long ago. You see the smiling faces of the welcoming community around you, enjoying conversation. You take to the dance floor and break out into some swing, or step into a fox trot. It's almost as if you've stepped back 100 years into the past. This is the experience Vintage Dance Company exists to provide, so come join us at our next dance party!
Vintage Dance company was born out of a calling of the heart, a childhood dream, and a hunger for dance during the 2020 pandemic and the months following.
We are a company that loves the vintage styles of dancing and early jazz and we want to share the music and the dances and make them accessible to everyone.
Our goal is to see people be emotionally and physically freed through an experience with music and dancing and to feel celebrated for who they are when they come to one of our events or watch one of our performances.
We specialize in performing and teaching many of the dance styles that developed in the early 20th Century with jazz music. These dances include Charleston, Lindy Hop, Vernacular Jazz, Shag, Blues, and Balboa, though some of our dancers know other styles and occasionally break them out. We perform, host dances, teach lessons, and sometimes participate in community events that offer opportunities for dancing.
Many dance studios may know a form of these old dances or the basics, but we like to make our experiences feel authentic by bringing in the spirit and the history of the dance and keeping it in mind with everything we do.
Currently, we offer social dances with a free beginner lesson, weekly dance classes, dance workshops, individual and group private lessons, and performers and teachers for private and public events.

We bring the energy and entertainment to your event, whether it be a sassy or energetic Charleston, flying around the room with lindy hop, or just encouraging guests to get up and dance!

DJ Services
Are you in need of some swing or original, vintage jazz for your event?
Maybe you need a DJ to cover those band breaks.
Whatever the reason, we can bring you an atmosphere that will take you and your guests all the way back to the jazz age.
Weddings and speical events
Get your guests out dancing on the floor or bring some of that old vintage jazz to your wedding.
What's a better way to get your guests to use the dance floor than offering them lessons? I can provide lessons in swing, waltz and fox trot to help fill that empty floor. I can even throw in a setlist of vintage jazz tunes for your special day.
